Arkham Horror, 2nd Edition, rules, flowcharts, and more!

Hi all!

So while our fantastic new contributor Fayyaad has been veritably motoring away on board game articles, Zwodder has finally completed his decade-long project of designing more useable guides for his favourite board game, Arkham Horror, 2nd Ed.

To celebrate, we’ve decided to make the files available here, for the low, low price of … nothing, actually. Feel free to throw us some Ko-Fi money, though. (Link below.)

It does kinda require a copy of the game, of course. If you don’t have a copy, or if you’ve never played it before, you can always try it out with some friends (or solo!) over on Tabletop Simulator.

At any rate, the reworked guides are provided in the form of 3 files:

  • Arkham Horror, 2nd ed, Rule Book – A reworked version of the rules, with summaries and expansions where relevant. Some sections have been added for clarity. Note: Excludes the setup instructions, which are included in the Reference text instead.
  • Arkham Horror, 2nd ed, Reference Book – Includes Setup instructions; a Reference section with an overview of all the components; a list of Frequently Asked Questions; a series of Examples; and finally a Glossary containing confusing or obscure terms.
  • Arkham Horror, 2nd ed, Flowcharts – Handy summaries of particularly tricksy phases and skill checks. Useful if you’re sure you understand the rules or if you simply want something to use as player aids.

If you would like to print a copy for yourself, higher resolution versions of the files are available upon request, using the Contact me! form below.
